A journal entry from May 2014: This sums up why I am passionate about Simply My Purpose.
So I have given myself 2 years to get my business of Simply Chic Inc. Life Design and Bookkeeping (disclaimer this was the second name of the business) up and running and profiting. Oh boy I hate deadlines, I don’t work well with them. However, I have been sitting around for far too long and not getting anything done. I am tired of watching and helping other people live their dreams. Please don’t get me wrong I am super happy for them and I will continue to help in any way that I possibly can but I am ready to really help myself. I am excited about what I am going to do. When I was growing up I always wanted to be a lawyer, I can’t say that that will not happen but I always knew that I wanted to be in a role to advise and counsel people. I have written about it just in random writings where I was just writing whatever came to my mind. I have talked about it with others in random conversations. I also want to be a CPA and guess what that position does, yep…advise and counsel people. So in some way shape form or fashion I was meant to advise people in their lives. I am excited about this role and I am doing everything in my control to make sure that I am up for the challenge when the business is officially launched. I want all of my “i’s” dotted and “t’s” crossed. I know that there will be struggles and things that I will just have to deal with when they come up but I am preparing to have 90% of the work done so that I am not worrying about the whole 100% at one time with the business. So my next step is to put together a timeline so that I stay on track with getting everything done. I am working hard on this and I am going to give it all I have because I have to invest in myself and the life that I want. I am super excited about the next phase of life. I realized that I had to get cracking on this when I drove up into the parking lot of my job and said “I will be glad when I am working for myself”. I like my job but I don’t love my job because it isn’t mine. I am here to help someone else get rich and live their dream and sometimes you don’t even know if they appreciate it. However, I am learning all that I can to make the next step my best step.
I also want my blog to be prosperous and not necessarily with money (but that would be nice) but I want to reach people. I want to inspire them, give them hope, motivate them with my life, with my friend’s lives, with just random situations, to encourage them to just keep going and keep pressing on. The walk isn’t easy but it is definitely worth it in the end. I am looking to create something unique to me and those that understand it as it is being put out into the world. I am looking to be a legend among my family and my peers. I want to leave something for them to continue talking about in a positive manner when I have left this world.
Through my pressing, through my doubt, through my fear and the negative thoughts that pop up I have launched the business, launched the website and finally launching packages. I am super excited to help others find their purpose, build their passion, and live the vision that they have for their life. Let’s Work!!!!!
