Deuteronomy 15:10 – “Give generously to them and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to.”
The year was 2015, 2 best friends came together to help those that are less fortunate. Natasha Oliver of Phoenix of Hope, LLC (www.phoenixofhopellc.com) came up with the idea to put together a concept called “Zip Luv Bags” and for a couple of years I had the idea rattling around in my head to give out blankets to the homeless. So when Tasha came to me with her idea it was the perfect time to bring this long term idea to a reality. So last year on November 28, 2015 we set up tables and recruited volunteers and we were able to serve over 80 people. I was able to give out 125 blankets between South Carolina and Georgia and Tasha was able to give out all of her Zip Luv Bags plus snack bags to everyone that showed up. It was an awesome day filled with love, encouragement, hope, warmth and purpose. We were able to connect with people and enjoy our family and friends that came out to help. We decided that day that we would do this annually so “Hope & Warmth With A Purpose” has been born and we are so excited to continue to grow this project and continue to help as many people as we can.
If you would like to contribute to this project you can get in touch with me at [email protected] or 404-494-0899. You can also contribute using my paypal at [email protected]. When contributing if you would like to leave an encouraging word for those that your contribution will be helping please email me and it will be added to into the blankets that are given away.
We are super excited and grateful for you help.
Thanks in advance for all of your help, encouragement, and motivation.
Galatians 6:10 – Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”
